If ever taken hostage, it is good to remember that the hostage taker(s) / terrorists want you alive or you would not be a hostage. Yes, you should plan to escape if possible, but not give so much resistance as to make the captors decide to get rid of the problem and just kill you.
The article below is written about the Israeli Defence Force. If anyone knows about terrorism, it is Isreal.
I have posted this to my blog to help you recognize potential terrorism, and how to help prevent it.
Though this article talks about Isreal in particular, you can apply this in general to any location in the world.
The bottom line is, if you see, hear, or suspect something, report it. During my career in security operations covering about half the world, I have responded to many false calls. I would have rather have responded to these calls than to have missed the one critical call. Case in point, I was assigned to Ramstein Air Base, Germany in 1981, when the headquarters building was bombed. I hope I never have to respond to another situation like that again. Again, if you suspect something, notify authorities.
I am sure you are probably aware that terrorist attacks and actions continue to happen in the United States and around the world.
Are you aware that you can know how to be prepared in case these events happen around you, or that by being aware of your surroundings, you can possibly prevent terrorist actions?
By reading We Are The Target, you will get tools that should help you be prepared.

I wanted to write a note in explanation for not having listed all the recent attacks in the United States.
This blog is something I do as often as possible, but cannot post everything that happens because I am often waiting for confirmation about what has happened, or waiting to see if it is a terror attack or not. Another reason for the delay in posting is because this blog is not all I do, and until I can afford to spend more time on this blog, it has to stay part time.
One thing I try not to do is list information that is not correct. With the world we live in being as crazy as it currently is, I do not want to post incorrect information. The last thing I want to post is false or confusing information.
With that said, you have probably seen or heard of all the attacks within the USA. My advice is to be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious people, activity, or objects.
We need to be aware of our surroundings. Report suspicious activity.
Al Qaeda has now called for terror attacks on the Rio Olympics. There are a few countries mentioned specifically. If traveling to Rio be very aware of your surroundings. Ensure you contact the authorities if you see anything suspicious.
Take the time to read the article.
