If ever taken hostage, it is good to remember that the hostage taker(s) / terrorists want you alive or you would not be a hostage. Yes, you should plan to escape if possible, but not give so much resistance as to make the captors decide to get rid of the problem and just kill you.
Syrian refugee ‘who asked ISIS for money for cars he could drive into crowds’ arrested | Daily Mail Online
Rest assured, there are folks right here in the USA making similar plans.
I hope everyone enjoys bringing in the new year. While we are doing that, if you see suspicious people, activity, or things, report it. You could be saving someone’s life. Maybe even your own.
This is a particularly interesting report
I was reading a story the other day about this upcoming Thanksgiving and a new threat of terrorist activity during that holiday.
I have been in the anti-terrorism arena for 40 years. I have responded to many, many false alarms and threats. I have been involved in the response to one actual bombing. I have been fairly close to several. I can tell you, you should always be aware of your surroundings.
As we go into Thanksgiving, and on into Christmas and the New Year, it would be wise to be very aware of your surroundings, and to report any unusual people, things, or activity. If you see something feel is suspicious, call the authorities. They expect you to call, and want you to call. They, like me would much prefer to respond to false alarms, than not to respond to the one that matters.
Folks, all of our lives are on the line, please make the call.
If you would like further information on anti-terrorism, my book We Are The Target is listed on Amazon.com.
We hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday.
ISIS has threatened terrorist action today, Monday, and Tuesday, Election Day against the United States, specifically Texas, New York , and Virginia
We need to be very aware of our surroundings for at least the next 72 hours. if you see suspicious people, activity, or things, contact your local authorities.
As we commemorate the 15th anniversary of 9/11, let us not forget that we are indeed involved in a war against terrorism. These people seek to terrorize and destroy us and these United States of America. We must be alert, aware, and always on guard against our enemy.
Always, but especially over the next few days, if you see suspicious people, activities, or objects, notify the authorities and let them know.
Let’s keep America safe!
God Bless you, and God Bless America!
The article below is written about the Israeli Defence Force. If anyone knows about terrorism, it is Isreal.
I have posted this to my blog to help you recognize potential terrorism, and how to help prevent it.
Though this article talks about Isreal in particular, you can apply this in general to any location in the world.
The bottom line is, if you see, hear, or suspect something, report it. During my career in security operations covering about half the world, I have responded to many false calls. I would have rather have responded to these calls than to have missed the one critical call. Case in point, I was assigned to Ramstein Air Base, Germany in 1981, when the headquarters building was bombed. I hope I never have to respond to another situation like that again. Again, if you suspect something, notify authorities.
