Stockholm Syndrome – An Emotional Response

I wanted to discuss this part a bit more.

The Stockholm Syndrome seems to be an automatic, probably unconscious, emotional response to the trauma of becoming a victim. The physical and psychological stress induced by the hostage situation causes the hostage to react in a manner totally against the persons normal beliefs, values and ethics.

That statement is strong, in that it should tell anyone that no matter what their background or status, that under specific circumstances, a person may do or say things that under ordinary conditions, they would never do.
